Basements often leak when the outside drainage system fails or becomes clogged. However, fixing this drainage system is not a sure way to fix a leaky basement. Basement waterproofing solutions and the construction of basement foundations vary from region to region though Ohio and the rest of the country.

Toledo Basement Systems understands the importance of understanding the warranty before the work is done and would like to emphasize that this is not a guarantee of a dry basement. Any basement waterproofing contractor who makes that claim is being dishonest, as an absolute guarantee of this is not possible. We do, however, warrant our state-of-the-art products and their installation. The warranties for Basement Systems' WaterGuard and DryTrak basement waterproofing systems state that if water passes from the walls or floor wall joint, through the perimeter water control system, and then onto the basement floor, Toledo Basement Systems will provide the additional labor and materials to fix the leak at no additional charge to the homeowner. This warranty applies to only the areas where the system is installed. Because of this, we always recommend a full perimeter system. The warranty is in effect for the lifetime of the structure from the date of installation.

Provided that Toledo Basement Systems is notified within 30 days of the real estate transfer, your warranty may be transferred to future homeowners.

Failure of the pump and/or power is also a possibility. Therefore, the warranty cannot assure a dry basement, as the scope of this work cannot keep a basement dry in all circumstances. When your System Design Specialist visits, he or she will make recommendations that help to statistically lower the chances of water ever entering your basement again. We recommend that you listen to all suggestions and base your purchasing decisions on your level of need to keep the basement dry from now on.
